Madame Tussaud’s New York City

Is that Elton John and... me?

Is that Elton John and… me?

I want to recommend Madame Tussaud’s New York City as a tourist destination for anyone who may visit the Big Apple.

I went to Madame Tussaud’s for the first time this Saturday.  My friends Margaret and David Miles were in town for the day and we were all up for doing something fun.  The only trouble was, it was about 15 degrees out, and a good day for an indoor activity rather than anything that may have involved a hike.

I hit on the idea of visiting Madame Tussaud’s wax museum and that place is a blast!  They start you off at a Hollywood party.  You soon find yourself in the Hall of Presidents.  You can see the stars of yesteryear, the characters of New York City, sports figures and more, and wind up at a rock concert.  Best of all, you can be photographed alongside of any and all of them!

I had to laugh the hardest when, on the way out the door, they played a recording of Frank Sinatra singing, “New York, New York.”  You exit onto the middle of 42nd Street.

If you’re here, go for it!
