About Author Carolyn Summer Quinn

 

CAROLYN SUMMER QUINN, reachable at http://www.carolynsummerquinn.com, grew up singing show tunes in Roselle and Scotch Plains, NJ, a member of a large, outrageous and rollicking extended family. She became interested in theatrical history after participating in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Summer Music Theater Workshop as a teen, which later inspired her to major in English – with a concentration on Theater and Media – at Kean University. She has worked as an Administrator in a variety of positions that included on-the-job executive ghost writing and manuscript editing. Carolyn is the author of tee books, starting with MAMA ROSE’S TURN:  The True Story of America’s Most Notorious  Stage Mother, an extensive and well-researched biography of Rose Thompson Hovick, whose colorful life inspired the musical Gypsy.  It’s available from University Press of Mississippi.  She has also written seven cozy mysteries for adults, CHILD OF SECRETS FROM AFAR, THE HOLLYWOOD BACKLASH MOON, A CHARM WITHOUT A CHAIN, VANISHED ON THE VAUDEVILLE CIRCUIT, BACKSTABBED ON BROADWAY, THE FINAL COMEUPPANCE and CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF ANSWERS, and two middle-grade books, KEEP YOUR SONGS IN YOUR HEART and NOW AND FOREVERMORE ARABELLA.

Between the cozy mysteries and the children’s books she’s managed to get SEVENTEEN book awards – and she’s just getting started!
